Nigeria: Comrade Shehu Sani Declines Appointment to Serve on Presidential Committee


 
Comrade Shehu Sani, a human rights activist, Wednesday turned down his appointment to serve on one of the committees constituted by President Goodluck Jonathan to define comprehensive and workable framework for resolving insecurity in the country.
In a post on his Facebook page, Sani said he was not consulted before the appointment and that he "humbly and respectably wishes to decline to serve as member".
The first of the two committees, named ‘Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the North’ and made up of 26 members, is saddled with the responsibility of seeking ways to end the Boko Haram insurgency.

  1. So why exactly did he turn down the offer? Later they will be proving activist..so he has a chance to make a difference, a chance to be heard, a chance to contribute to the turnaround of our nation, and he goes ahead and declines. Wrong move Mr
