Happy father's day to all
our dear dads, mentors and even some mums who stood as dads when for some
reason dad was not there. God bless them all.
So what did you get your
dad? Nothing? Really? Lets not argue. He will accept a belated gift so please
get him something tomorrow.

I was
discussing with my father yesterday and he said to me “In God’s database, your address
is Isu Umu-Ezedim”. You see Isu Umu-
Ezedim is my village. It is a village in Oba, Anambra State, Nigeria. Dad was
trying to tell me how important it is to stay in touch with my roots. My dad
says stuff like this all the time. He encourages me and always lends a
listening ear. Now more than ever I want to listen to his wise counsel and I
treasure every word he says.
In view of
this and to honour our dads, I reached out to a few friends. What has your dad said to you that stuck
like glue? What did he say to make you the man or woman you are today? What is
his mantra which you still live by? Read and enjoy but most of all, learn and
let something a dad said affect you positively today!
